Terms of Service

By using locale ("the service") you agree to these terms. locale is an early-stage product from an independent developer, offered as-is while we build it with a small group of users.

Your account

• You're responsible for your account and for the content you save and share.
• You must be at least 16 to use locale.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Delete my account).

Acceptable use

• Don't use locale to harass, stalk, dox, or share someone's location or plans without their consent.
• Don't upload content that's illegal, infringing, or that you don't have the right to share.
• Don't abuse, overload, scrape, or attempt to break the service or its infrastructure.
• Circles and shared lists are for people you actually know and trust. Respect the audience scope others choose for their content.

Your content

You own your content. You grant locale only the limited permission needed to store it, display it back to you, and share it with the people and circles you choose. We don't claim ownership and we don't sell it (see the Privacy Policy).

Availability & changes

This is alpha software. Features may change or break, data loss can occur, and the service may be unavailable. Keep your own backups (the app offers a JSON export). We may modify or discontinue features at any time.

No warranty & liability

The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, locale and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the service.
